Summer is finally here! The warmer temperatures are nice to see. I love being able to open the front door of the shop and let the fresh air in. This newsletter is late due to all the happenings at the end of May, so please accept my apology. We are gearing up for the Row by Row event which begins on June 21st. We are looking forward to all the visitors that will come into the shop from near and far. Just a few reminders about Row by Row. We are not allowed to distribute the pattern in any form until
June 21st and we are only allowed to distribute one free pattern per customer. We do have the current license plate available for sale now, plus a few from last year.
The Advanced Sampler club will meet June 11th for their monthly meeting at 9:30 a.m. This club will wrap up next month. Time sure does fly by. Second Saturday Sampler will not meet again until August. In August, we will start again and show off the finished quilts.
Did you take one of the Beginning Piecing classes in the last two years? Do you need additional help on finishing? Sign up for the free open sew day on June 25th. I’ll be there to answer questions and help you finish. Sign up by emailing me at kara@quiltessentials.org.
The Laramie Art Quilters will have an exhibit at the Wyoming Territorial Prison State
Historic Site, which is part of the Wyoming State Parks system. Their new exhibit hall will house Abstracting
the West from July 1, 2016 until September 30, 2016.
The Cheyenne Heritage Quilters will host their annual show August 25-27, 2016, at the First United Methodist Church in Allison Hall. The address is 108 E. 18th Street, Cheyenne. Their theme is “Under the Sea”. The show quilt is on display at the shop and raffle tickets are available through June.
Hopefully, you all saw pictures from our UFO retreat on Facebook. If you missed them you can still go out and take a look. You don’t have to be on Facebook to view our site.
